there's a friday...
and then there's a monday.
there's death...
and then there's resurrection.
things don't have to be like they always have been.
i believe in the rest of the story.
i believe there's still ink in the pen.
here's something: fail.
fail.
take your give-a-damn, examine it, hold it up, expose it to the light...
and then smash it.
smash your give-a-damn.
i have wasted my very last day wondering what if?
i'd rather go down in flames than walk safely by
because at least i entered the fire.
at least i put myself out there.
at least i poured my soul into something.
now is the time when we must being to see our world and ourselves
in a different way.
you don't have to live like this.
listen.
you don't have to live like this.
success is 99% failure.
fail.
fail.
and then fail again.
if you die to those old habits that weigh you down like an anchor
that keep you locked in
enslaved in your very own body
i have it on good authority that your hand will be taken
and you will be led out of the grave into boundless and competent love.
but you have to die first.
there is no resurrection without a death.
it's going to be difficult.
but you have to do it.
you have no idea what's on the other side.
no idea.
the general human failing is to want what is good and important
but at the same time not commit to the kind of life that will produce the good things.
the gate is wide
the road is paved in moderation
the crowd is kind and quick to pull you in
welcome to the middle ground
it's safe and sound and
until now it's where i've been
everybody lives out of some story.
everybody has a narrative playing in their head.
what story is feeding your imagination?
that tomorrow will be the same as today?
or that tomorrow is a fresh page?
there are new things...
every morning.
here's something: fail.
you don't need to have a perfect story mapped out before you start the next chapter.
take a step.
one step.
now is the time.
you're not alone.
you've never been alone.
